What is an ISA Certified Arborist?

A certified arborist is a specialist in the care of trees, shrubs, bushes, and vines.

To become an ISA Certified Arborist you must successfully complete The ISA Certification exam. This is an extensive examination that covers 10 areas of Arbour culture.

Once certified, an Arborist will hone his/her skills on one or more areas specific to Arbourculture. The Arborists at Burley Boys have concentrated their efforts on the following areas:

• “Climbing” specializing in climbing, rigging, and pruning.
• “Tree Risk Assessment” focusing on risk assessment, consulting, planting, and safe work practices.
